If this is correct, wouldn't this extend to Pioneer computer CD/DVD drives?

Not on my watch here!

I purchased a Pioneer Superdrive( S.D.) : DVR-AO5 / V1.33 Firmware (DVD R/RW : CD R/RW)

I relocated the "Stock" Toshiba Combo (CD-RW / DVD-ROM) down to the second slot( as Slave), and installed the Pioneer S.D. into the top slot(as Master)

I've been using the Pioneer for about 4 months now; recording 4 GB DVD's , and CD.s w/o any problems
So far, no coasters

BTW: It is my understanding that some models of the Superdrives shipped by Apple in their G4's are manufactured by Pioneer ( read this somewhere )
