I am running a problematic G3 Beige MT that has been nothing but problems for the whole time I have owned it. It's a G3/300, 768 meg Ram, 80 gig hd, 6 meg vRam, running OSX2.8. I had to put a new OSX system on it and now I am trying to install iTunes and the message it gives me is:
"The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'Music' folder."
The other message I sometimes get is "iTunes cannot be installed on this computer".
I cannot afford to get another computer and this one has cost me more in repairs than I paid for it. I don't want to spend a great deal to get it operating the way it should, but this particular problem is new. The only other problem I have is, I have a G3 450 zif upgrade and it doesn't work at this time. It did work on a G3 Beige DT, but not on this one. (well it did for a short time a few months ago).
Does anyone know how I can install iTunes. I guess I'm getting so discouraged that I don't even know what to get help with, but if at least if I can get iTunes going, that would help. I have tried everything I can think of like rebuilding, new system, command, option R and P and such.

Hey folks, I just solved my iTunes problem. There was a folder for iTunes in the music folder that was an alias!!, deleted it and it now works. Thanks for now
