OK! But to burn the DVD, which format should the movie be saved in ? .mov

Well, if you save the footage as .mov or .mpg format and burn it to your
DVD-R/+R disc all you are doing is burning footage as a DATA file NOT a DVD
movie. Toast can burn the movie, but you will have to create the DVD video
content (i.e. put all the footage together along with the menus, etc.)
using a DVD authoring program (i.e. iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, etc.). Toast
CAN'T create DVD video content.

When you try to burn a DVD movie, Toast will try to search for the "Video_TS
Folder" which your DVD authoring program should have created. This folder
will contain the information for the DVD menus, the video footage, etc.

OK! Let's get a plan.

1. I bring my analog video into my computer using a PYRO A/V LINK to convert it to digital.

2. I use iMovie 2.0 for editing movies.

3. I save it as a file called Media, which contains the converted video and titles, etc.

4. To make a DVD, I drag the Media file to Toast / Other / DVD and make a DVD??

Right so far.

Dan
