I have discovered something odd which I think relates to the B&W not shutting down properly, but so far I am unable to fix it.
Apparently the remote access module in my control strip of 9.1 is seldom in agreement with the actual remote access. I can click connect from the strip, go online, see that I am online by opening remote access, yet the control strip still says "connect" as if I am not already. I have to open the remote access and disconnect from there. Afterward the module in control strip often says "disconnect" as though I am online when I am not. When that happens I cannot shut down the machine. After several tries when I can get both to agree we are disconnected, then the machine shuts down properly. Modem is a GV internal for the B&W and seems to function wonderfully in all other respects. I trashed control strip prefs and rebooted to no avail. Any idea how this could happen & a possible remedy?
