I just got a B&W and put a sonnet ATA card in I got from a swapster. I booted from the System 9.1 CD and when I went to Disk Utiliites, it showed the 40 gig maxtor as a scsi drive (and not an IDE). I could see the partitions were still there from when I'd used it in my Beige, but I could not mount them, only initialize.

Then I booted from my G4 10.13 CD, and it showed the partitions as ATA under Disk Utilities. I installed X and then did the Panther upgrade. All four partitions were on the desktop and functioning properly.

But after that, I wanted to have 9.1 on and then upgrade to 9.2 so I could run classic apps, but when I boot from the 9.1 CD, still no partitions mount. They are there in Disk Utilities, but greyed out. I tried mounting them, but it said I was unable to do so.

Do I have to format the disk again from 9.1 and then re-install all over again?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom
