Andy,

Most routers can be accessed through a web page. Not sure what the address is for your router, but I bet it is on their support page. I use the web page to access my Linksys router. The linksys page is 192.168.1.1. Some are xxx.xxx.0.1 and so on. The default username/password is usually admin/admin.

I loaded the linksys software on my XP laptop (before i knew about the web page) and "locked down" my wireless network by changing the SSID and adding a WEP. Oddly enough none of the changes took. I logged into the router using the web page and all the settings stuck. Does nothing work right on a pc...!?

Virgin tech support said that I needed Mac software to access the router
interface but Origo's site had no mention of Apple or Mac anywhere.
Is there anything I can do or do I have to buy an officially supported
router/modem? Are Virgin not telling me everything?

Thanks,

Glenn
