Yesterday MacFixit posted a freeware OS X recovery util. I was going to download it tonight. I don't recall the name--something with EXIF in it.

I'll find out soon. I tried to find a linux util for repairing FAT16 or 32 file systems, I know some exist, but looking for linux SW is such a cacophony I gave up. Norton Systemworks (PC) won't even see the card, but the PhotoRescue shareware sees all the photos- whether they are intact, I can't tell unless I buy it.

You would think that I could figure something with unix-y freeware and OS X but I've not found anything that would work yet.
