I've been looking to buy a G4 in the near future, as well. The prices on eBay have been going down.
Another option you might consider is upgrading your B&W CPU... I recently bought an XLR8 G4 ZIF 466 (450 mHz in the B&W) for $138 on eBay. Installation was a breeze and while the B&W isn't a =true= G4, it's performance is very good.
