I read all the comments posted to the link you gave, obvious to me that these methods of mounting shares do not work the same way for everyone. I tried every way from Friday trying to get mine mounted in this fashion, simply doesn't work on my machine. As for my script, I found it on the web in another hints type website and it is simply this:

tell application "Finder"
   mount volume "smb://192.168.0.101;name:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/D"
   mount volume "smb://192.168.0.101;name:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/E"
   mount volume "smb://192.168.0.101;name:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/F"
   mount volume "smb://192.168.0.101;name:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/G"
end tell

Saved as an application when run, this script produces a box which pops up and asks if you want to quit or run. The run option is highlighted so all I have to do is press RETURN and it mounts my shares just fine. Considering before I was doing it with the connect to server choice from the GO menu of Finder, for each drive, this is much easier and I won't complain a lot if this is good as it gets.

Just a message from Doug...
