the B&W G3 is a finicky system, and it may not handle your PC-133 memory. It will work with some, but not all. I have a B&W G3 450 OC'ed to 500MHz. It has 512MB of PC-100 memory that I bought for $60, or $15 a stick X4. anyways you can find memory for this system on the cheap really easy. It's a good system, just be warned that it likes it's memory to be perfect!

I have some questions about the following Mac which I just acquired.

        B&W G3/450
        128 MB RAM
        SCSI card (68 pin connectors)
9GB SCSI internal IBM HD (#309170)

(1) I want to add 3 x 256MB RAM modules. Is there any advantage of getting PC-133 rather than PC-100?

(2) Last year I bought the following SCSI drive to install in a PM9500.

        9GB IBM UltraStar 36LP
        7200RPM 6.8MS 4MB Buffer
        Low Profile UltraSCSI 50 Pin
                (80 to 50 adapted).

Can I move this SCSI HD to the B&W G3, (presumably with a different adapter)?

If I connect my SCSI Zip and Jaz drives to the external SCSI port, will it reduce the speed of the internal HDs unacceptably?

(3) Can I add an ATA drive to this G3 that already has a SCSI drive?

(4) Do I have to make an 8GB partition to install Panther?

Any tips or suggestions will be most appreciated.
