Hello fellow Listers~

Okay, I just bought from OWC the new Pioneer DVR-108. I use PatchBurn II to provide both driver support and iApp support. Now, I know my 10.3.5 does not have **native** support for it, which is why I do not see it in Finder when I put in a blank CD/DVD, but is there a Unix hack or other 3rd party "helpers" that will modify the Finder to see the drive when I put in a blank disc? I have no problems with mounting when I put in a disc with data burned on it in--it mounts as it should in Finder.

Also, once I installed the drive (replacing the Apple DVD ROM), I got nothing but Kernel panics if I had both the internal Zip drive and the new drive installed-but if I unplugged the Zip's ATA cable, I could boot in without question. If I had the Apple DVD ROM and the Zip drive plugged in, no problem. Just not the Pioneer and the Zip. I even set jumpers to Master and Slave (switching them if one setting did not work) but no dice. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks,
Troy
