Works. I have a pre-G3 with an EIDE DVD-ROM-R-R/W (Pioneer DVR-106) and an ACARD EIDE-SCSI "bridge" card on the back of it to convert it to 50-pin SCSI. I can play DVDs with it, with the sound being read over the SCSI cable, and Toast accepts it as if it is a SCSI burner. The latest firmware also blows the 137 GB limit, too. I've used 160 GB and 200 GB drives with these cards. My Beige G3 presently has a 200 GB drive and the UW-SCSI version of the ACARD bridge. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
