As a general rule, yes.

However, a Beige will accept any RAM, whereas a B&W is more particular.

2,2,2 is preferred, but differing refresh rate will also work as the 
machines read the EPROM and then program the accessing of each SDRAM slot 
accordingly.

With the Beige and B&W machines, it is wise to buy with a "no questions" 
return policy, just in case you get stuck with a stick or two which is 
the exception to the rule.
