This can be summed up easily.
also failure of hardware due to cheapness of components.
Plus the hardware generally lasts longer.

Pardon ???

What world do you live in ???

Ever heard of NVidia, ATI, Hitachi, Seagate, Kingston etc. ?

Macs and PCs use THE SAME STUFF!!! Bar the processor/motherboard
but even they are more than likely made in the same plants.

The one where my Dell laptop which is younger than my iBook has a stuffed cmos battery, main battery and you can twist the case quite easily.
The iBook battery still lasts for 2 hours and it is quite a sturdy machine.

I have seen samsung hard drives which were sold with cheap PC's which had to be thumped to get them to spin. (These where brand new).
There is more to a card or a computer than just the chip that drives it.

As there are cheap versions of the ATi and NVidia cards, how do you think they make them so cheap. Surely you dont think they use the same components or materials.
The main chip may be the same but you only get what you pay for.

I picked up a Sony Viao laptop for my brother in law the other day and I must say it is one nice machine. But thats the difference between a Cheap PC and a Well Built one (Normally more expensive)

I never said all PC's were crap and all Mac's are great. I also have a 6230 which I am using as a TV. As a MAC it is OK but functionality on the net is rubbish and that is through cheap construction.
