I have an eMac OS-X install CD and I used it to put a fresh copy of 10.2 on the drive. Then I tried to upgrade it to Panther using some upgrade CDs I have,
If the machine is only licensed for OS 9 and an older X, then that's all you should be putting on it.
If you put something newer on it, you're going to give them the CDs and license paperwork, right?
Your good intentions aside, it's important that schools have proper licensing. They get audited now and then...
