Hi Tim (and everyone on the list), What if you have a Beige G3 with an A/V personality card? And what if you just want to digitize analog sources? Are there vintage (well, recent vintage) versions of, say, Premiere that can run on one of these so that one could experiment with video on the thing? I mean, if a long time ago one could digitize video with a Quadra 610 AV, (Granted, it was the size of a postage stamp and you'd have to let the thing work overnight to render it) so can a Beige do this? Does the A/V personality card have a DSP on it like what a Quadra AV has on its mobo? I won a Beige G3 on eBay and was pleasantly surprised about two neat things: an unexpected AV personality card and an unexpected extra 64MB RAM. I know I need to max the RAM on the thing to do wild stuff like that. I also need to add some more storage...maybe a SCSI card and a reasonable U/W drive from Driveguys. What kind of PC100 RAM do I need to hunt for to use on a Rev. 2 Beige? Can you kick it up to 768MB or is 384 the ceiling?
