I have a message out to the previous owner. I'm pretty sure it has no
internal modem as there is no jack for a phone cord on the back. The
place where it should be is blanked out. I have been thinking about the
internal modem now, since it will free up a usb port. I am assuming
they are no harder to install than HD's, memory, cd-r's, etc. I'm on my
own here as there are no Mac stores anywhere around these parts.

not just call the Apple store and get one? I think you'll be a lot

Did you buy this G5 new? Or if you got it 'used' why not call the
original owner and ask about it?
