I have a B&W running 10.2.8 and would like to upgrade it to 10.3.6.
What is the most trouble-free (easiest) way to do this without losing all the preferences and iTunes songs?

It does have a small secondary internal drive and 384M of RAM.

I remember that in the archaic OS days the best way to upgrade the system and prevent future problems was to "nuke and pave" the startup drive and start anew.

Should it be done that was in OSX?
