Hi again, I have a Phillips DVD 711 player, and would like to be able to watch iDVD titles on it. No matter what I do, the resulting DVD will not be recognized by the player. I have talked to Apple, and they said I have done everything I could. Their conclusion is the following: 1. There is a problem with the DVD player or 2. iDVD's routine for encoding DVDs is incompatible with the player
I am convinced it is option 2, since I can play DVD-R's that are backed up from store-bought titles (I experimented with my copy of The Crow, and it works fine). So are there any other methods for encoding iMovies, quicktime movies, etc so it is more in line with the industry standard? I have tried Sizzle, with the same results. I can't figure out how to use ffmpegX to get a VIDEO_TS folder, but I have to wonder if any of these would be more compatible. I prefer not to buy a whole new DVD player, and I can't spend hundreds on a solution. Any other options out there?
