If by 'baking' you mean fast forwarding to the end, then rewinding to get it to run more smoothly, yes, any tape-based system will benefit from that,e specially if it's sat for a long time.


If not, try that. That's an old old videotape trick (as in 2" reel-to-reel video tape 'old' trick)
