I just picked up an iMac DV 400 SE running OS 9.1. The machine's in wonderful cosmetic condition, and has been upgraded to a 40 GB hard drive and 384 MB RAM. It has only one quirk: The display has a yellow tint to it. Calibrating it has no effect. Occasionally the display reverts to the "normal" colors for a while, then goes to yellow, then goes normal. I hooked up a 20" Radius external monitor, which shows normal colors no matter what the iMac screen's doing. What should I be looking at fixing? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

After posting the above yesterday afternoon, I continued running the iMac. I installed OS X 10.3.7, and played around with monitor settings, etc. for a couple of hours. After about 4 hours of running time, the screen reverted to normal colors and the yellow tint disappeared. It stayed that way for another hour and a half, even through several shutdowns and cold starts. This morning I started it up and the colors were normal. It's been running for about 6 hours today, and the colors have stayed normal, with no yellow or other tints. Can anyone explain this behavior to me? The previous owner dumped it because of the yellow tint, which started before Christmas and lasted until yesterday.
