You people crack me up. Are any of you who are replying to this original

no, then original poster, pay NO ATTENTION to any of their responses and ask
a REAL lawyer.

My original question wasn't all about the legalities of the issue, but also whether any list members had done the same, and what their experiences were in doing so. I got basically what I expected, and have comfort in knowing that so far no list member has gone to court over what we're thinking of doing.

I spent 13 years as a mobile DJ and never thought twice about paying for the right to spin what I chose. I was never approached by any copyright lawyers during those years, and I seriously doubt anyone would pay me much mind now.

I do appreciate the responses, including the "conversational" ones, as they were entertaining to read :)

So again, if anyone has done or is doing something similar to what we're planning, I'd love your feedback, good or bad, as we're looking for ideas, experiences, etc.

Thanks again!
