Hello G-listers!
I am very sure you guys know a lot about games. I was a big gamer maybe
about 10 years ago and since then disconnected from the world of games. I am a
big fan of 1st-person perspective/interactive games (those games where you can't
see yourself), example would be the graphical Zork games, where you carry an
inventory with you and such. I also enjoyed playing Loom & Legend of Kyrandia
(Adventure) and Exile II, Geneforge (RPG games). My least favorite games
would be space games, science fiction games, violence and racing games... (well
mostly the games boys go "cool!" for). I got two kids around 10,
violent/sci-fi games are just not for me. While I enjoyed playing Descent, Wolfestein,
Cyberia and Dark Forces back then, I honestly wouldn't play then now.
What games can you recommend? I was reading the reviews for Grim Fandango
and wonder if they have it for the Mac. I know how many of you think the games
with violence, speed and blood are cool, but I honestly want something fit for
children as young as 10. Anything along the line of those games I mentioned?
Thanks Lili
Probably the best game I've played lately was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, but that was on my P4. I'm not sure if any of the RC Tycoon series was ever released for the Mac. Also the Sims and Sims 2, but I only know that the original was released for the Mac. I once wasted several days at a time playing these games. I never was one for playing the 3D maze type games as they made me physically sick from all the twisting and turning around you did. Another game I used to love to play was Transport Tycoon and the Deluxe version. Killed many an hour (and brain cells) playing those.
Just a message from Doug...
