Hello G-listers:
I bought a 3.5" external enclosure for my 80G Hitachi drive.
It's an AMS Venus DS-2316 model.
I picked this one over OWC models - based purely on price.
It claims Mac support for USB, USB2 & FW.
No drivers needed for OS X - according to its owners manual.
It has Oxford 911 and Cypress CY7C68300A chipsets.
My mac sees and works with USB only, not USB2 or Firewire.
I already sent an email to their tech support but not really expecting much.
Is there a generic driver that I can download from somewhere to make it FW or USB2 compatible?
