Sorry, I've lost track of the original question about PDF apps, but
before jumping to conclusions about Preview I'd advise people to use it a
while first to make sure they're not missing out on something. Preview is
a GREAT reader for PDF's, especially long docs like manuals. The search
feature is better and faster than even a pre-indexed document in Acrobat
(any version).

I set all pdf documents to open automatically in Preview; if I need to
use Acrobat or Acrobat Reader for some reason it is very easy to do so--
control-click for contextual menus gives you the option to choose which
app to open the doc with.
