Hey folks, I just wanted your opinion on recent articles regarding potential attacks on OS X via viruses, phishing, etc. I read an article on ZDNET (I know I know being on that site is a whole other story) regarding how Apple has been releasing monthly patches to X via the software updates which addresses vulnerabilities in OS X. I was more concerned about the tone of the articles as it seemed more on stirring up fear rather than legit concern. The other article was a warning bell from Symantec regarding how OS X was becoming more and more a tempting target for hackers, malware authors, etc. Of course as soon as I found out that most of the info in the article was supplied by Symantec my alarm bells went off telling me "Uh oh it looks like Symantec sales for Mac Norton must be low this quarter."
I know that loopholes exist in all OSes and X is by far not immune to attacks, but how stable or more likely, secure, do you think we really are?
