Well, I guess the one flaw or exception is the USB 2.0 card w/ NEC chipset won't let an OS 9 system start from any drive on a controllercard in my 8500 or Beige DT where no controllers are used, ie. OS 9 boots fine from onboard ATA or SCSI , the USB 2.0 card just doesn't>work, as it shouldn't.
Shouldn't a usb 2 card work at usb 1 or 1.1 speeds under OS9.2.x in the case where you are able to boot or am I missing something?
No. Some cards, mostly earlier released USB 2.0 cards only work in OS X and not at all in OS 9. Profiler can see them but that is it. Card firmware or newer OS 9 drivers may have cured this for some.
