Thanx for the pointo and read, and I wasn't aware of any problems
with TTPv4 'cept that the UI is quite different and seems a lil' bit
daunting at first, and while it has evolved into a more whole deal
kitchen sink affair(more bang for yer bucks-imho) , I've never had
any problems with it at'all on OSX/OS9 duelboots, but I've stopped
installing it since v3.09 on my upto OS9.2.2 HDs and/or partitions
and always turnoff the trashcache n virricheck, and only use v.4+
from a bootable CD.

I often find it advertised @ 'round $75 in MacAddict and MacWorld,
and 'magine with a lil' luck cheaper can be found. As for NU what was
it(v4.54 or so)?, I don't use it on any OS > OS9.1 and Never HD install,
but have found it to be able to save my butt the few times that TTPv3
has failed me, ever always accompanied with a run of DWv2 directly
following either TTP or NU prior to reboot.

I'll addon that a full Utility assortment on hand is the best, and mine
are listed here fyi- DU, DW, TTP, MacJanitor, OnyX, CacheOutX, and
Printer Repair, and altho I've got Drive10 on hand it's not been used
or installed, so can't recommend it, maybe someone else will chime
in on it for us. -as always ymmv

Do keep us informed Tom, and Goodluck.

*Please someone advise; Upon install of OSX.2, is it best to use the
updates to X.2.8 before applying the Upgrade to OSX.3, or can one
go directly from OSX.2 install reboot and safely apply OSX.3??
Details will be mucho appreciated and very welcomed-TIA
