Hi,

I have a G3 AIO and just got a "Apple Yikes G4/400" zif processor with heat
sink. I installed it and Apple System Profiler, Gauge Pro and Metronome all
show it as a G4 running at 233mhz.

Is this because I need to change the jumper setting on the motherboard? Or
something else?

You need to reset the motherboard jumpers. Here is a link to OWCs chart:

Just set it to bus 66MHz, PCI 33MHz and CPU clock to 400 and you will be good to go. After you verify that is stable, then you can play with CPU clock speeds or lastly the bus speed.
