Steve Long writes, <Wait a second. We all don't trust OWC. Myself and two other people here had bad experiences with their SCSI drives and have good reason to be cautious about them. Granted that was three years ago or so and they may have changed their ways. But that kind of unanimous endorsement is a bit inaccurate.>
If it's OK, I'd like to kick in my two cents about OWC. Recently (earlier this month, or late last month) I purchased an OS 9.1 install CD from OWC for about a third to half the price I would have had to pay at several elsewheres I found on the web (including links from LEM, which was where I started looking). I got it fast, comparatively cheap, and thanks to OWC I have OS 9.1 installed on my 20-gig HD and it's running great. So, I'd have no objections to buying from OWC again, presuming they continue to offer the lowest price I can find for whatever it is I need, as happened with this OS 9.1 install CD. ~Yersinia. ________ "It doesn't take all kinds; we just have all kinds." -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
