The original post asked how to tell the difference between a rev 1 and rev
2. No where on the page does it say that updating the firmware will
update the rev of the board (it's impossible, the rev 1 and 2 are primarly
hardware changes).

The page you linked to, and I searched for "firmware" and rev, has only a
singe link to the "Firmware Update Feedback Page". That page, when
searched for "rev", refers to a version of the firmware that was seen on a
rev 2 motherboard. Again, nothing about finding out which rev of the
board the B&W has, nor does it say that to get a rev 2 board, one has to
update the firmware.

The link is good for those wanting to ID if they have a rev 1 or 2 board
(and I have referred a person or two to that very page), or to see what
Apple fixed or changed between revs.

Again, firmware updates have nothing to do with finding out what rev of
the board one has, nor will they 'upgrade the logic board'.

Of course, it may be just me defining the board and firmware as two
seperate things (which they are) that work together.
