Firstly you must run CCC in Tiger from root level. See...

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106290

for activating root.

Then, open the Terminal from Utilities, and type in (without quotes, but with a space after)

"sudo open "

Then drag your copy of Carbon Copy Cloner over the Terminal window and drop it.

Press return

If asked, type in  your root password.

CCC should run ok from there.
