I'm running Safari 1.3 with 10.3.9, and always in the past it's been able to block popup ads quite effectively. Now all of a sudden I'm getting the popups again, all over the place, such as at the Drudge Report http://www.drudgereport.com/. Does this mean that the admongers have figured out how to get around popup blockers such as Safari's? Anybody else seeing these popups proliferate over the last few weeks? What gives?

Are these popups or pop'unders'; you can write a page to pop a window up under a main page and it's not being caught by either Safari or Firefox. MacDailyNews and a number of other sites have these too. MDN's is supposed to be limited to one per IP address per day, though.

That's what happened when I hit Drudge with firefox. Another reason to not go to that hack's website, as if I needed one.
