since were on the subject, yes I miss the gool ole days when the OS took up a few KB. Im not asking to hinder development. I just want an OS that wont run terribly slow on say, a 400MHz G3. I just want an OS that does its job, and doesnt hog my CPU for things I dont care about. Dont get me wrong, I like OS X, I just wish I could tone down the graphics so that it ran better on my 450MHz G4 with 896MB RAM, and a Radeon 9200 with 128MB VRAM. A computer that cost almost $500. In other words, I wish I could run OS X on cheaper Macs. Id like all the stability, reliability, and power of OS X, but none of the eye candy.
