dealmac just listed a USB to IDE adapter for $15.00.

Since my Digital Audio has a USB 2 card with an internal port. I am thinking that this would be a cheap and easy way to add an internal drive (my internal IDE busses are full) without adding a more expensive ATA card.

Anyone ever do this? I know that USB 2 is not as fast as Firewire in Apples implementation, so I would not use this for disk intensive storage, but just for extra relatively fast storage. It has to be faster than the built in ATA on my beige, so it will be fast enough for my needs.

Anyone have any thoughts on doing this?

TIA,
Len
