it's not so much that the RAM sticks are bad - it that the maker didn't follow Apples's standards! OS 9 just didn't care that much - but OS X DOES REQUIRE APPLE STANDARD RAM - that's the reason I started getting my RAM Sticks from RAMDIRECT.
