The thread about renaming your Mac made me wonder what names people have chosen. Do you choose something descriptive, fun, or both? At our house we have these Mac names:

Well, mine are certainly not very imaginative, This Blue and White is called B&W, my beige G3, currently used as my fileserver is fileserver2. You might think my old PC fileserver was called that also, but it was Nicole, after a friend at work and my granddaughter. The iMac upstairs is iMac, my Pentium 4 is P4 and I have not yet decided on a name for my new clear cased PC game computer, temporarily named clearcase. Of course my Quadra 700 upstairs is called Quadra and my old K62-300 Mhz PC is called Speedy (One time was the fastest computer I owned). I have a Pentium II system I use to experiment with new operating systems and it usually has several different OS'es on it at one time so I called it MOS (Multi-OS). I have a friend/neighbor who has used Beavis, Butthead and Stewart for his computer names for quite some time now.

This may not be very well suited for the G-List, but I've enjoyed seeing all the different names people use for their systems.

Just a message from Doug...
