Faulty memory maybe?

I recently got a rev 2 B&W/400 and thought it would be easy to move
everything from my stable-for-years Beige. Wrong! I've never had to jump
through so many hoops with a Mac. Here are some of the things that I've had
to bang my head against the wall on:
Korg1212 card: Sound control panel wouldn't see it as an output device.
Korg's site says a B&W needs v1.31 or better of the driver. I was using 2.02
but when I put in 1.31 all was well. I don't get it.
The Atto SCSI card hangs the computer when it has drives attached. Put it
back in the Beige and it works fine. Any ideas? I've tried everything I
know.
This B&W seems very unstable. Crashes all the time. Copy the system folder
from a stable partition to another, reboot from the new one and it's flaky
as all get up. I've done things like that for 20 years and never had a
problem. Any ideas?
I won't bore you with the rest because I finally got them working.
One thing that went surprisingly well - especially after reading about some
folk's nightmares at xlr8yourmac.com - was putting in a Sonnet G4/500.
Flashed the firmware, held down down the programmer's button and it came
right up.
Is there a page that details B&W stability and compatibility problems?
Thanks
