Contrast this longevity to Windows, where Windows XP cannot run
anything for Windows 1.0/2.0.
That's because old Mac programs didn't suck...
If WinXP let you run Windows 1 or 2 programs we'd have mini black
holes popping up everywhere...
Also, there's no reason that you won't be able to run old Mac
programs inside emulators; it's just not going to be seamlessly
integrated into the OS, is all.
