Beware:
If you use "Deep Sleep" a feature of you Mac OS X, then don't install
Security Up-Date 2005-007 Rev. 1.
Prior to installing Security Up-Date 2005-007 Rev. 1 when I put my
platform into deep sleep the complete system went to sleep, however
after installing Security Up-Date 2005-007 Rev. 1 when "Deep Sleep" is
invoked everything goes to sleep except the disk drive. I have waited
5 minutes and the disk is still spinning.
Harry,
After the update I am now having problems waking a G3/400 with a G4/450
ZIF upgrade. It will not wake at all! The fan has always run on the G3
while in deep sleep. (is that light/restless sleep?)
Still tinkering to see if I can resolve the wake up problem.
The G4 DA does not seem to have any problems with the fan or the hard
drives: 2 internal and occasionally an external firewire and/or USB.
