I'm talking about word processed documents in AppleWorks 6, the data in my Gene 4.3.4 application (which is not only periodically referenced but added to occasionally) and my ginormous Claris Emailer archive of old emails, many of which contain brainstorms and other things I go back to look at for reference (not to mention how much I love the Claris Emailer application for regular day-to-day email usage). All three of these applications are for Mac Classic (i.e., below OS X: I use them on both my G3 Beige which is on OS 9.2.2 and my Powerbook 5300c which is on OS 8.6). Dan writes, <Upgrade to the OS X version of the classic application. Or extract the old data into a form usable in some other OS X-native application. Or keep your old Mac. Or print out your old data, then manually type it into some other OS X-native application. Or keep your old Mac. Or buy a PC and forget your old data -- you'll be spending too much time being entranced by the blue screen of death, and updating Norton Antivirus. Or keep your old Mac.> Hahahaha, I get the hint. ;-) Thanks for satisfying my curiosity. ~Yersinia. ________ "Organic chemistry is the chemistry of carbon compounds.
