I would agree about MacLink. When y2k came around, that was my
opportunity to convince my partner to go to apple from Windows. We
had thousands of documents in WordPerfect for DOS format. I batch
converted them with MacLink to Appleworks. It was really slick.
With the email, go through your emails you want to save and forward
them to yourself and go get then with your new computer.

It can process many files at once in batch mode. There's no mention
of Claris Emailer files or Gene 4.3.4, but perhaps those

my Gene 4.3.4 application (which is not only periodically
referenced but
added to occasionally) and my ginormous Claris Emailer archive of old
emails, many of which contain brainstorms and other things I go
back to
look at for reference (not to mention how much I love the Claris
Emailer
application for regular day-to-day email usage). All three of these
applications are for Mac Classic (i.e., below OS X: I use them on
both my
G3 Beige which is on OS 9.2.2 and my Powerbook 5300c which is on
OS 8.6).
