I am new to X too... There might be key commands? Applescripts
might be available or makeable.

In 9 I have used OmegaWindow, a great software that you can set
key commands to move and size windows, it will be hard to work
without it. I think I got it ages ago from http://www.kagi.com/,
for OS 9. Indispensable!

This dock thing is a Windows thing isn't it? BTW I notice a very
nice feature to the dock in Tiger (this new?): it can be
configured not to be there until you go to the edge you have set
it on with the mouse and then it magically appears. I don't like
the look of the dock, sort of too Disney for my taste, but it is
awfully clever with a lot packed into its design...
