Thanks for your comments. As I'm living in The
Netherlands I'd rather not order from the US. I think
I'll try the cheapest possibility.
BTW I remember having seen a 515 MB DIMM on an American
site for Mac-upgrades that was compatible with the beige.
It works if one of the three RAM-slots of the beige stays
empty (or the other two filled with 128 MB only), keeping
the max. RAM to 768 MB.
Apparently some of the DIMM-slots are handled as being
two banks. This would explain the mysterious fourth slot
seen by Apple Profiler in the DA that isn't physically
there ...
