Want to jump on this bandwagon... I've upgraded my Sawtooth's RAM and processor, but would love to have a Superdrive. (Currently using an external CD-burner that is a nuisance, but works for back- ups, burning music CD's, etc...)

Is the above "Superdrive" the most recommended one, in your collective experience and expertise? How "easy" is it to actually install? The price seems pretty reasonable...

To install: (a verbatim transcript from the new thriller "True Life Computer Upgrade Adventures")

Pop the side down.

Press the little plastic levers alongside the CD drive brackets in, then to the left to swing off the faceplate.

Take out the two small philips screws in the front.

Push the drive carrier assembly out a little bit so you can reach in and disconnect the sound and data cables from the existing optical drive and Zip (if present).

Cut your finger on the sharp edges of the carrier, curse briefly.

Carefully work off the tight power supply cable on the optical drive.

Bang your knuckles on the power supply when it comes loose suddenly, curse briefly.

Slide the drive carrier all the way out of the system.

Remove the 4 screws holding in the CD drive, slide it out of the carrier.

Slide the new drive into the carrier.

Look puzzled a moment because none of the holes line up.

Slide the new drive out, then back in, right side up this time.

Put the screws back in.

Confirm that the jumper on the new drive is set the same as on the old drive.

Reverse the procedure above. Harder to bang knuckles on the power supply this time, though.

All done.
