I just bought a Pismo for $150, and it had Tiger installed, but it also kernel
panicked every shutdown. I booted from the Panther CD in the stock CD/DVD-ROM,
and formatted the HD and did a clean install. It automatically recognized
Airport Express, and software updated to 10.3.9 with no problems.
