I cranked up the graphics in x plane and played around with it for 20
minutes or maybe more. Once I quit the program, I noticed the finder
was exhibiting some glitches. This is presumably because of the
overclocked processor and not the overclocked bus. When dragging the
mouse to highlight files and folders, a diagonal line existed from the
lower left corner to the upper right. Positioning the mouse over dock
icons resulted in the icons being "highlighted" oddly. Nothing to make
the computer freeze. And could probably be prevented by toning down the
graphics in x plane. X-Planes minimum requirements are said to be 800MHz.
At any rate, a person ran his 533 at 650 with a voltage boost, a
custom made ventilation system in an ATX case, and the computer was kept
in a 65 degree basement (not to mention he was using the proper DA
heatsink). Im going to get a Peltier for mine soon and see if I can get
it running reliably at 660MHz. Eventually, Im going to get an 867 or
933 and run it at 960MHz. Right now I dont have enough funds for that.
Anyway my article isn't posted yet. As soon as I find out it is I will
send the link here.
