OK, my beige G3 AIO (Molar), the 266MHz model upgraded to 366MHz and running Panther and OS 9.1 as Classic, with maxed-out memory, squeals for a while at start-up. It doesn't quite start immediately; OS X completely loads and Classic begins loading when the squealing kicks in.

Well, it makes some high-pitched whiney noises for a while and then stops.

I remember somebody on this list mentioning this problem, as a harbinger of things to come. Can't find the email. Sorry. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is the Power Supply going out? Something else?

It runs well after this, no problems. But this squealing, I wonder. And, contrary to the subject line's parenthetical remark, there isn't much pain. I'm curious about it, though, as one would be, come to think of it, of a low-grade, intermittent tooth-ache.
