Sounds like you got a good deal. I picked up a similar machine - without the monitor - for $330 recently. You might be able to get up into the range of a refurb mini's price for it. You'll probably be shy a few bucks. How good a friend?
If I hadn't just dropped $900 on car repair, I'd offer you $300 easy, without the monitor.
