Have you checked to make sure that the requirement isn't for LINUX on
x86 (eg. Intel) hardware?  If it involves installing software onto
your box, and their software is compiled on Intel-based hardware, that
could cause problems for you.

Some LINUX software apps can be run on multiple hardware platforms,
but that's not always the case.  So before you go to the trouble of
putting LINUX on your G3, you might want to double check that the
online courses you're wanting to take will work on any LINUX, no
matter the hardware.
